Aspirations?: "To continue to improve and have more succes at the national and international level and ultimately of course to secure a place in the team for the London 2012 Olympics."



Training Regime: "On average I train 5 days a week for up to 2 hours per session, doing various exercises."



Who has been the greatest influence on you? "Without a doubt my personal coach Andrew Callard."



When did you begin lifting? "Age 12."



Why did you begin lifting? "Purely by chance!  I was a gymnast at Europa and I was asked if I’d be prepared to go down to the weights gym to try out for the Greenwich London Y outh Games team as they needed a girl to make up the numbers in a team of 2 boys and 1 girl.  Andrew Callard spotted my potential immediately and I pretty soon gave up gymnastics in favour of weightlifting Smile."



Off The Platform:



Occupation: "Studying for my A-Levels."



Ultimate relaxation? "Anything with friends, especially my weightlifting friends. It could be music, theatre or the cinema; or just chilling at home on facebook."



One thing you can't live without? "The Internet."



Tip for the top? "Finding a good coach is all important. More important is listening to their advice and acting on it."



Life after lifting? "I hope so!."
